✈️ Airbus Cadet Pilot Program – Shaping the Future of Aviation |
For the past decades, thousands of experienced airline pilots and aviation specialists underwent their advanced training with Airbus. However, none of them were Ab-Initio trainees. This is the cornerstone of the Airbus Cadet Pilot Program, an ambitious worldwide plan of future pilot training.

Currently, there are 2 ATOs in operation:
📍 Escuela de Aviación México, officially licensed by Airbus 📍 Airbus Flight Academy Europe (AFAE), a 100% subsidiary of Airbus in France |
|
📍 Location: Angoulême, France ⏱️ Duration: ~24 months integrated ATPL(A) courses 🛩️ Fleet: Elixir, Cirrus SR20, Diamond DA42 VI, Grob 120 👩✈️ First cadets trained: Summer 2019 |
|
Airbus Flight Academy cadets and instructors have direct access to the latest aviation knowledge and training standards. The modern fleet prepares trainees for a full glass cockpit philosophy from the early stages, while advanced UPRT courses are supported by the Grob 120 fleet. Coming from diverse countries and backgrounds, cadets also develop their non-technical competencies in a multicultural learning environment. The Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) encourages teamwork, leadership, and positive behaviors. |
🎓 Airbus Cadet Label The Airbus Cadet Label is awarded to graduates who meet Airbus cadet code values, including teamwork, leadership, and positive attitude. ➡️ This standard goes beyond EASA requirements. |
